About me

Hi there, My name is Kami Mai. 

I am a licensed tattoo artist in Portland, OR. I started tattooing in the fall of 2021. I moved to the great PNW in 2017 from Southern CA. My journey as an artist started in my early 20s. I drew to cope with my anxiety/depression and it slowly became my favorite hobby. I didn't always know I wanted to be a tattoo artist. I just knew I wanted to spend most of my time drawing/creating and figured that tattooing would provide me with that. I took a chance entering the tattoo industry not knowing whether or not I would like it and I am now enthralled with it. I am enjoying learning and growing in this very intimidating field. It is all still very new to me and I am grateful to be learning a new skill. I enjoy drawing black/gray florals, ornamental, plants, animals, and playing with surrealism. I am still figuring out my style.
